New Brews

After a good deal of deliberation we decided to change coffee and tea suppliers at the beginning of September. It came down to two amazing local roasters Has Bean (Dublin/Stafford) and The Golden Bean (East Cork) and if we could we would get both. But for the moment we’re sticking with the one grinder and keeping it simple with just the one bean – from Has Bean (www.hasbean.co.uk).

We definitely see the difference in quality of these beans and hope you do as well, so we’re offering €1 espresso for all of September so you can try it out. We doesnt really have an espresso culture in Ireland but it is the basis of any good coffee, milk or not so give it a lash and see where the base of all that flavour is coming from.

Same for our teas, we have moved to loose leaf teas, supplied by Wall and Keogh which opens up a whole new area of tea blends and infusions.

Opening Night

We had an opening. Well we had already been open for 3 weeks but I’ve been told that it was a ‘soft launch’ (whatever that is). Anyway, we had some friends around, all the people who helped out in whatever way… and there were tons of you! Sincere helpers, people who would say with genuine enthusiasm in their eyes that if there was anything they could do to help they would be glad to get stuck in. Well thank you all for being amazing human beings.

It was great to get everyone in there for the first time and kick back with a glass of wine… heres to many more!
