LASA – Legal Advice Service for the Arts

Brenda Tobin approached us a couple of months ago with an idea she had been mulling over for a while…..how to offer artists and creative types, the legal advice on their work that they would normally be unable to afford. She came up with a drop-in clinic concept that will be held tuesday april 1st in the Fumbally, 8 – 11am.

Are you an artist, writer, designer or freelance creative?

Do you know how to protect your creative work and ensure that you get paid for it?

Do you have any questions about how to protect your work that you’d like a specialist lawyer to answer?

You may want some help writing a letter or you’d like an opinion on a contract from a publisher or a distributor, a software development or a freelance contract. You may be setting up a business and need some guidance on branding or protecting your ideas or you may have a question about using other copyright material in your own creative work?

Brenda worked as a solicitor in RTE for 9 years and before that worked in a large London law firm running an advice service for creators.

Come along, have a coffee…maybe a slice of cake and go home with some legal advice.

€20 for 15 minutes one to one. No booking required, just turn up.
